No worries, just wanted to bring it to your attention, Polol was having a similar problem on P4 when we were playing earlier today.

Been playing today and the client keeps freezing/timing out/giving socket errors. Lost a lvl 30 mage today due to it, and generally it is making play very annoying. Not sure if i can help by giving more feedback.

The spells are misnamed. They work as intended but the names are wrong, for example: Magic Bolt has been renamed "Increase Might", but still functions as Magic Bolt.

Seems like accepting quests locks up the client.

Unfortunately i do not have Wizard level access to the game so i can't un-ban you. But someone will be around soon to take care of it.

I figured we could eventually rotate? But figure out a night of the week first, and go from there.

Wondering if it would be possible to coordinate a game night, try to get everyone on one a week or bi-weekly for a few hours in the evening. Would be great, maybe do some PK Tourney's or Trove Hunts...Any other ideas welcome. In any case; the more the merrier. Vote for as many days as you want, everyone has seven votes.

Will this change translate to anything on the player-side of things?

As an example I can barely hold a 900k shield at level 500 and Cerberus wants to chomp through my charms for fun. It's all good fun but being Cerbed three times within an hour on a level 500 char also becomes tedious because I am a little limited to how I can play a strategy if I can't hold onto a shield.

I tried purchasing over 2000 charms that didn't really help as he just ate his way through them after several encounters. Even let a Titan bash my shield down to what was what I considered my minimum safe level but Cerby still wanted me.

Is it just my strategy? Do I level too high? Have there been any changes to prevent this strategy?

Seemed as though you were asking for yourself, sorry if my response was not helpful. If you feel like you have a strategy that others could benefit from i would love to read it! I think the more we have for new players the better.

I have not played RoW enough to truly comment on this, but i can offer you a bit of advice per my Vanilla strategy.

Forcefield.

A shield is something that should save your life, not something that you should be counting on to soak damage. The following spell cycle is usually what i use for melee fighting:

FF > Paralyze > 3xMight > Paralyze > 5-10xMelee(depending on speed) > Paralyze > 5-10xMelee > Paralyze ... etc.

Seems like a lot of mana, but imagine what you would be using on a Manabolt as a fighting class. Also i would recommend sinking money in to a bigger sword, in spite of the increased cost.

In terms of guides, i wouldn't expect someone else to do the work for you. Take notes, monsters sizes relative to your level and shield size. You'll notice patterns emerging sooner than later.

There was a server migration last night, i've sent Pall and Wreq a message alerting them to the issue. I'm sure they will attend to such things as soon as they see it. I feel your pain, chomping at the bit over here.

What prompted the server migration?

In the future i would advise a screenshot for easy death analyzation.

I can't speak on behalf of the wizards, but wish you the best in getting to the bottom of this.

Sorry to hear about this! Sometimes mobs get a lucky roll on hits and can string together 3 or 4, hard to say really w/o a screen shot of the kill though.
